This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I find it awkward that my preferred method of drawing keeps changing. By that, I mean that I seem to go back and forth between what method of drawing is easier for me.
Though I've been pretty inactive for a few years, I've been doodling every so often. However, I keep switching between tablet and pencil/paper, I find one to be easier than the other, but then, there will be a reversal. It's more annoying than anything else, really.
I also found that using VGA as an aid does NOT help me. When I draw on my laptop, but am looking at my HDTV screen, my eyes get strained very quickly--more quickly than if I look at my laptop screen.
I've been doing a fair bit of practice with human figures. I'm trying to better myself in regard to drawing anime-style figures, but I'm doing it without any sort of aid (at the moment, anyway).
I'm still dealing with the block, but I'm going to try to break it... It's been a huge issue for me since the 8th grade.
Wow, the GIMP is so much better than Paint. It's much more similar to that ridiculously expensive program that the professionals use called Photoshop, but it has better support - almost anyone who's heard of Creative Commons can help you use it.
If you need help, just Google your question, and I bet it's been answered. If not, feel free to ask me and I'll try to either find you the answer or answer the question, whichever is easier at the time.
Switching from MSPaint? I'd say get familiar with opacity and layers! They're fun! You can now make images that don't have sharp corners! ^^

They say silence is golden and speech is silver. I say silence is deafening and speech is difficult.
